  3. All programs on this disk are free, but if you want to support me and
  4. further developement of MiniTerm & MiniBBS you can become a registred

  15. MINIBBS\    ShareWare BBS-system for the Atari ST.    It will run OK
  16.         even on a 520 with 1 disk-drive.  System has Xmodem,
  17.         Ymodem and Zmodem file-transfers and it's possible to
  18.         pack new mail with ARC or LHARC and download it to save
  19.         time (and money) when calling.    Ask for ReadMail ST !!

  25. Modem Setup    READ THIS !!  EVERYBODY ASK ME ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIME

  27. DCD-signal    Your modem MUST be setup so the computer can monitor
  28. ~~~~~~~~~~    the DCD-signal.  Some modems has a switch that enables
  29.         a mode where DCD-signal is always on.  This MUST be
  30.         changed to a mode where DCD-signal really means that
  31.         the modem has connection with another modem !!!!!!!!

  33. Auto-Answer    Auto Answer MUST BE OFF.  If auto-answer is on (either
  34. ~~~~~~~~~~~    due to a hardware switch or from software) nothing will
  35.         work right - So turn it off and everything will be OK.

  37. DTR-signal    Your modem MUST be set to monitor the DTR-signal from
  38. ~~~~~~~~~~    the computer.  When the DTR-signal goes OFF your modem
  39.         should disconnect and hang up the line.  MiniBBS uses
  40.         this to logoff users (normal logout or sleep logout).

  42. BBS_INST.TOS    Create all folders (download dirs, upload, system etc)
  43.         and double-click on BBS_INST.TOS to configure system.

  45. Private confs    To make a conference private to some users make the
  46. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~    file "confname".MEM in the system directory and put
  47.         each legal name on its own line in this file.

  49. MINIBBS.PRG    When installed double-click on MINIBBS.PRG to start
  50.         the system and log on and register as SYSOP.  If you
  51.         are going to use GEM-Zmodem you can not start it from
  52.         the AUTO-folder (GEM has to be active).  On TOS 1.4
  53.         and higher you can use the GEM AUTO-start option.

  55. SysOp Command    SysOp can press ! at the command-prompt to view log-
  56. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~    file (what the users have done) or user-information.
  57.         SysOp can also set the date/time from a remote modem.
  58.  
  59. TRASHCAN    If you want to lock out special names etc just make
  60.         the text-file TRASHCAN and put it in the SYSTEM-dir
  61.         together with the USER/MAIL-files.  Put each string
  62.         that's illegal to use inside a name on its own line.

  64. MIDINET6.PRG    System can be used from a remote computer using the
  65.         MIDI-ports, two standard DIN-cables (same type used
  66. MIDI-cables    on older HIFI and STEREO systems) and MIDINET6.PRG.
  67. ~~~~~~~~~~~    Remember to connect MIDI IN to MIDI OUT and visa verse.
  68. Installation    Put MIDINET6.PRG in the /AUTO/ folder on the computer
  69. ~~~~~~~~~~~~    NOT running MiniBBS.  To monitor the BBS just press
  70. How to use    CTRL and the key right of RETURN.  The screen will
  71. ~~~~~~~~~~    flash when the BBS sounds the BELL so that you can see

  75. MIDITERM.TOS    Non-resident version of MIDINET6.PRG.  MultiTOS aware,
  76.         and nice to run as a TOS-window when using MultiTOS.

  78. UTILITY.TOS    This program can be used to delete non-active users
  79.         and to install new files (copying files from a disk to
  80.         a download folder and entering new file descriptions).

  82. USERSTAT.TOS    Gives statistics over your users in a text-file.
